This cooking unit is the centrepiece of every garden party and also serves as a key piece in modern outdoor furnishings.
The Lyon Grill has a remarkable talent: In the twinkling of an eye, the cooking unit used during the summer months is transformed into a stylish brazier that spreads a cosy warmth after walks during the colder seasons. Practical: The quick-change artist in a purist design has an integrated storage compartment for wood.
The large cooking surface allows for different dishes to be prepared at the same time. Hot seared meat can be effortlessly moved to a cooler temperature zone without passing on flavours to other ingredients. Harmful vapours and burnt fat are prevented as the ingredients have no direct contact with the fire or embers and the oil can has a fine metering aid.
Beech wood is the first choice for the cooking unit, followed by ash wood. Depending on the outside temperature, the 12 mm thick cooking surface takes 25-30 minutes to heat up completely in warmer months and 45-60 minutes in colder months. It reaches an intrinsic temperature of approx. 300 ̊C at the inner edge and approx. 200 ̊C at the outer edge.
Material and care
A smooth patina forms on the grill plate with frequent use, protecting it from rust. We recommend removing the ash after use as well as cleaning and protecting the products from rainwater so that no lye is produced. The oil can and spatula can be polished using a kitchen towel. The spatula can be used to scrape the cooking surface.
Recommended supplementary products
The Lyon Grill can be perfectly combined with the Grill Ring. Other recommended additions are the Grill Accessory Set and the Lyon Protective Lid.
