Replacement Canopy Ivory 350 cm round for Umbria Parasols
A replacement canopy is available for Umbria parasols which you can replace independently.
To replace the canopy, pull the leather straps from the end of the struts. Tilt the parasol over and unscrew the pole top. You can then remove the material. To put the canopy back on, proceed in the reverse order as above.
The canopy is made of 100% polyacrylic fibre. It is UV-protected and impregnated, which makes it repellent to water, dust and dirt. Occasionally the canopy is very tightly stretched and will not open to its fullest extent initially. Please exercise a bit of patience. The material will give in in time on its own under the influence of dampness.
The canopy may be washed on delicate cycle at 30°C using a mild detergent yet is unlikely to fit into a domestic washing machine. You should therefore give it to a laundry equipped to wash special sized items such as mattresses and sails.
We recommend that you dry the canopy on the open parasol. Please do not tumble dry or bleach. Careful ironing will revive the wash-resistant Teflon coating. The material is not suitable for dry cleaning.
