Distinctive qualities
The backrest of the Fontenay chair is of solid, closely-placed teak slats. Their shape is modelled according to one of the most unusual curvatures, that of the human spine. The large seating area of teak is shaped three-dimensionally for it to really fit the body. It is rounded at the front to improve upper leg comfort. Cushions in various colours increase the comfort of the furniture and set fine accents.
Lasting functionality
For easy and long-term outdoor use, all bolts of the joints are made of stainless steel, in rust-proof bearings. Polyamide runners under the seat ensure a smooth folding action and protect the powder-coated metal. The frame is made from galvanised, and therefore rust-protected, powder-coated steel. When folded, the chair is only 12 cm deep. Foot gliders of hard-wearing synthetic material protect valuable flooring from scratches.
